Weather and site tips for Mpumalanga
The Lowveld around Mbombela and Hazyview is hot and humid in summer, while the Highveld towns such as Emalahleni and Secunda have Highveld weather: summer thunderstorms and cold winters.
- In the Lowveld, dry units carefully after use; humidity speeds up mildew.
- On the Highveld, deflate early when afternoon storms approach.
- Resorts should plan a shaded, level site close to a power point for the blowers.
Before any outdoor event, check the local forecast and warnings from the South African Weather Service, and never operate inflatables in lightning or strong wind.
