Weather and site tips for North West
North West has hot summers with afternoon thunderstorms and dry winters with cold nights. The western parts of the province are drier and can be very hot in mid-summer.
- Plan summer events for mornings and late afternoons to avoid peak heat.
- Deflate early when storms build, and stop operating in lightning.
- Keep units on ground sheets on dusty or thorny sites.
Before any outdoor event, check the local forecast and warnings from the South African Weather Service, and never operate inflatables in lightning or strong wind.
